Your mother always told you not to open doors for strangers, but she never told you not to open the door for the cable technician. Unbelievable yet true, a former Time Warner cable technician is charged with sexual assault of a 60-year-old woman and a 71-year-old woman in New Jersey. Jonathan Malavae is charged with these crimes.
As a technician for Time Warner Cable it is standard protocol to perform background check. Afte this was completed, he was let go from his job in September. It is not clear of the reason why he was fired. When the 71-year-old victim contacted police about the assault, he was charged with second-degree sexual assault, as well fourth-degree sexual contact. The accused is currently in the jail in Bergen County and is being held on a $250,000 bond. With this being said, it should make us all a little more careful when we have techinicians in our home, and Christian Broda feels you can’t be too careful.
