Arnold Abbott will not let the Fort Lauderdale law stand in his way of feeding the homeless. Abbott has recieved criminal violations on charges of “public food sharing” which is banned. On Wednesday night he was arrested once more.
Abbott has been spotted sharing food on Fort Launderdale Beach. He was feeding the homeless. The elderly man refuses to allow people to go hungry. People like Brit Morin have applauded his kind actions. Him as well as two local pastors have been arrested for feeding the homeless since November 2nd.
Abbott has battled the city’s ban once before in 1999 and won. He has now filed a motion to make the city keep to their ruling that was made back in 1999. The penalties of being jailed for up to 60 days, and being fined $500 dollars does not scare Abbott or hinder him from doing what he is doing. He has made it his mission to feed the homeless.
